I have basic HTML knowledge but I am not sure if this is the right way to decide whether it is enough to make my career in front end developer or not.

Is there any thing or knowledge  that I need to be updated with Need some honest expert suggestions

Kindly help!

A front end developer is someone who is responsible for the development of those elements of a website that the customer sees and interacts with directly. It is a combination of programming skills and aesthetics. Acquiring the skills to be a good front end developer is fairly straightforward. It's about learning the right programming skills and developing a design sensibility. Here I am suggesting some good ways to get a good hand in the field of front end development-

1.  Try to find a few companies that may look for front end developers and look at the technical skills requirements for these jobs. Second part of this step is to find hypothetical companies you want to work for. Look for environments and work that excites you and helps you in growing at last.

2. Start learning HTML, CSS & JavaScript for starters - I would first build a few simple sites based on some popular patterns. I would join bunch of forums and read as much as possible about, firstly just those technologies I mentioned above and ask relevant questions related to front end development there.

3.  The best and amazing way is to build some sites you can show, then look for some internships if you really want to polish your skills within an environment that can guide you and help you learn best practices. Alternatively pick up some projects where you would need to work under someone senior who could help you out when you hit a wall.

4. If i were at your place then i would try to attend some meetups and do connect with people and try to ask them questions to my field. Look for multiple mentors. You'd want to find these people and ask questions and learn.

Yes, you would. These are the foundations of being a successful front end developer.

Though I feel, you don't need to remember all the tags and attributes, because there are a lot of them and its not possible to remember everything. Just know each one's use and use them as you need..

For example if you are making an HTML Form, then search all the tags and attributes related to that, so that you don't miss anything important. You will find the details in a concise manner on w3schools.com .

And also, when you learn these skills, just don't stop. Try learning bootstrap, jQuery, AngularJS after that.

But the most important thing is PRACTICE. These skills would be of no importance to you if you don't know how to use them together.

All the best!
