Vive wireless is a scam: Do not buy at all costs

Most of us can agree, wireless vr is amazing. Being able to cut the wire really does immerse you that much more. When I got the wireless adapter a couple months back I was exstatic. Playing Pavlov and not being restricted felt amazing. Even with the fact that the visuals looked like crap being able to fully move around was ireplacible. but then the first problem hit, a disconnection. ok restart steam vr. but then another and another. the headset would completly dissconnect. the battery was full everything connected right. After moving hte pcie card nothing. nothing could fix the dissconnect problem. Vive support (which will come back up later on) deduced it to being an issue with the short 3 in one cable. they agreed to send me a replacment. 2 months later, no replacemnt. I conntacted them again, explaining my issue. in all the times I conntacted them they had me do the same rutine. reinstall steam and steam vr. yes I did that. reinstall the wireless software, yep, no dice. I was then instruckted to reinstall windows. I had just reinstalled windows a few mounths before I got the wireless, it was not windows. Eventually I submited a repair request hoping It was an issue with the adapter. 15 days later with horrible tracking and completly no communication my adapter came back. after reconnecting it again no fix. keep in mind I payed for shipping and they didn't even fix the problem. I still hadn't recieved my short 3 in one so I conntacted again to ask whjat was going on. the responce I recieved was that there was a logistics error and that support would had zero clue when I would be recieving it. this product was sold on lies. yes it can do wireless, but it can't without butchering the experience. I remeber seeing an ad for this and it saying "let nothing stop you", I can tell you now disconnects will stop you. if you are wondering what my specs are, I have an intel i7-8700k with a 1080ti. specs are not the issue here. the issue lies with HTC and the broken product they released. Getting a refund for this will be hard, I dont care what their staff will say below. wether I get a refund for this or not I can tell you one thing. my trust with HTC is completly done. seeing as valve and oculus are making amzing products in the vr market, I don't think HTC will do well in the future. Vr is still amazing, and wireless is the future. but the vive wireless adapter is not the answer and I beg you please do not buy it. not only will you have you vr experience constantly interupted, their support is to incompetent to help you. I will gladly answer any questions below

I'm sorry you've had this experience. I would like to help you if I can. It sounds like you never received a replacement 3-in-1 cable for the Wireless Adapter. If that's the case (or even if it isn't) please PM me with your contact details (including your RMA ticket number) and let me know what the current status is.

I'll review and if there's something I can send you or expedite, I'll push it through for you.

Thank you,
-Jack S
