odmlover Posted May 16, 2019 Share Posted May 16, 2019 Does a rebooting make your error go away? If not, try uninstalling VIVE Wireless, rebooting PC and reinstalling VIVE Wireless. dprado Posted May 16, 2019 Author Share Posted May 16, 2019 Restarting solves, but not always. Sometimes I have to turn everything off and on a few times until it works. Reinstalling sometimes works, it is absolutely random. It seems to me that this error occurs more often in PCs using channel #2 , but I may be biased... And a couple of times, while reinstalling, the app just got to a state that it wouldn't reinstall the DisplayLink driver and interrupting the installation process. (The solution was to remove the driver, boot Windows in a troubleshooting mode without forcing driving signature, and manually installing the Display link drivers before proceeding with the adapter installation). dprado Posted May 18, 2019 Author Share Posted May 18, 2019 As HTC staff is too busy doing something else rather than providing support, I'd like everyone else to know that sometimes removing and reinstalling the driver (without rebooting) works for me. I use windows 10, and for me simply disabling the wireless device for 20 seconds, and then enabling it again works every time without fail. No reboot, or reinstall of anything required. It is however a shame that HTC VIVE still has not fixed this.
