Can't start LA Noire

Got the free LA Noire with Infinity. After registering with Rockstar, which went fine, the game threw an error message, which it does every time I start it. It happens after logging on to Rockstar Social, so the registration part seems to work, but the game won't start.

The error message is very nondescript. (something like "error - LA Noire was closed unexpectedly)

 - I'm sorry to hear you've hit an issue launching this game. I'll start a support ticket to connect you to a technical specialist on the Viveport team.

 

I did some searching around our customer service ticketing systems - this is the only technical error I've seen reported thus far from this LA Noire promo thus far. I just went ahead and verified the production build across a few workstations. This is an indication that the issue may be specific to your PC rather than the build itself.

 

Are you able to capture an image of that error message? Is there a bug reporter that's popping up? Basically any additional info is useful info at this stage. You may wish to co-create a support ticket with Rockstar as well.

Hi. I have the same Problem, that i can`t start the game.

 

I write with Rockstar Games (publisher), with the result, that there`s maybe a problem with Viveport or Viveportdashboard.exe.

Statement from Rockstar Games (in German):

"Dank dieser Systemdateien konnten wir sehen, dass scheinbar Ihr HTC Viveport abstürzt, beziehungsweise ViveDashboard.exe und vrdashboard.exe. Ausgelöst wird der Absturz in ntdll.dll und Qt5Core.dll.

Wir würden empfehlen den ViveDashboard noch einmal neu zu installieren."

 

How can i reinstall (only) the Viveportdashboard.exe-file? Or is there another solution to fix the problem?

Mike's problem is not the same as mine, Viveport works fine on m system, just LA Noire is crashing. I'm in contact with Rockstar support, so far no result. Maybe something wrong on my system. Well, at least it was a free game, I can live with that ;)
