"VR Dashboard has stopped working" when exiting SteamVR.

Hi. First of all, I am loving my Vive.

I do have one issue though. Although I can run SteamVR with no problems as well as not having any issues with any VR title I have tried so far, what is happening is when I exit SteamVR (either from my desktop or through the HMD instead of a clean exit I get "VR Dashboard has stopped working". This happens 100% of the time and on both stable and beta builds, and even if I uninstall and reinstall SteamVR the problem persists.

The problem seems to be the OS, not SteamVR

According to Windows Event Viewer, the CTD is an Access Violation Error (0xc00000005) and it's being triggered by C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll. Does anyone here have a solution to this that doesn't involve formatting my C: drive and performing a clean install of Windows 7 (That's a nightmare and takes days to get all my programs up and running again)?

PS: I have tried to supply as much information on the crash as possible, if the information I provided is insufficient, please ask what is required and I will provide this information, if possible.
