Sweats
None of the steps in this thread have worked for me. It's getting pretty frustrating, especially because this isn't a cheap purchase. If there are no fixes for this, it'll be an easy reason for me to preach to people to NOT purchase this product, unless you want to throw away close to a grand. jagibson
Hi I appreciate that it's frustrating. Every set up is unique, are you asking for assistance? Please tell me more about your set up (OS etc.) Can you also double check and confirm whether the Vive is being detected as a monitor? Right click desktop-->display settings. Thanks! Sweats
The headset is being recognised, yeah. I use a single monitor, but I'm not tech savvy, what information do you need?
Sweats
Could not having an optimal graphics card be the reason? Mine is a few behind the optimal. If it is that's an easy fix, but I want to know if that's for sure the reason. My gc is I believe a gtx 610, very old.

Puddle of Mud
I have been having the same problem and the headset is not being viewed as a moniter. I have a GTX 570 and I know it is under minimum reqirments but I have been trying to make it work anyways. Please help. Colin
Synthesis
It isn't just under the minimum requirements, it's significantly under the minimum requirements. In a very broad sense, the GTX 570 is less than half as capable as the GTX 1060, which is our minimum recommended GPU for Vive.Even if you solve Error 400, the games will be unplayable.Thank you, -John C
Puddle of Mud
Hey John, the graphics card will not be doing games, I am trying to check that everything works before I give it to my family. It is a suprise and I am sure the headset should light up or respond to movements
