Mistakenly bought Vive Wireless Adapter for Vive Pro? I have a Vive Original. Will it work?

I thought I was purchasing the right thing, but once I got to settings up my Vive Wireless Adapter up on my original Vive, I realized, I have a pro cable in the box and I don't have the 3 short cables that go from the headset to the wireless adapter. 

• Do I even have the right wireless adapter?
• Will this even work on an original Vive? The product description descriptions says,  "For Vive Pro, For Vive, For Vive Cosmo, For Vive Pro/Cosmo"
• Do I just need the 3 short cables? Where do I get them? 
• Does HTC even make a wireless adapter for the original vive? Google has not been very helpful while trying to figure this out.

This is the model I just purchase: HTC 99HANN050-00 VIVE Wireless Adapter Full Kit for VIVE Cosmos Black

The short cables that go from the HMD to the wireless adapter are not in the box. Only a pro cable is in the box. So all I need is the short 3-1?

Also suggest to get one of this so that the wireless kit can securely fasten on the head strap. (however, it is not required)

If you go to the Vive website and check out the wireless adapter you will see that Vive no longer sells the wireless kit for the original Vive.  This is the link to this;

As the link says, for the original Vive contact customer support for alternatives.  The link to a store that seems to carry the correct cable is out of stock so you may want to contact them about when this may be available again.  Otherwise, maybe return the cosmos wireless kit you bought and get a refund.  It did list the Vive so this information was not correct.  Good luck mate and cheers,
