  1. I got the vive cosmos without realizing it required a dp/mdp connection. My laptop does not have either port connection on it (I know, I was surprised to realize it myself since it's fairly new). I also understand that an HDMI to dp adapter would not support the system. I was wondering if using an external video card with a dp connection available would be a viable option and if so could you give me a recommendation for said card that would handle most games available (I have a feeling my GTX 1650 card might not quite cut it). I'd really hate to have to return the VR set but if I have nothing that can run it then that's where I'm at. Specs for reference: System Manufacturer ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. System Model ROG Strix G531GT_G531GT Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz, 2592 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s) Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 USB Port Intel(R) USB 3.1 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.10 (Microsoft) If you need more info please let me know, the above just seemed the most relevant.
  2. I have an MSI laptop with a MiniDP. I used an adapter to connect, recently found out it doesn't support 1.2, and failed. I'm now purchasing the Vive recommended 3 foot 1.2 MiniDP-MiniDP. The laptop I am using is an MSI GP73 Leopard 8RE with the 6gb 1060. I have factory reset my laptop as I have read of driver issues, is there anything else I should do or can do?
  3. Compatibility and connection MiniDisplayPort problem (on an MSI GE73 Raider RGB 8RF) Hello, I have a problem, it is impossible to connect my cosmos to my laptop pc with a DP to MiniDP adapter, (my laptop pc only has the connection). Unable to use, the headset is in "standby" with an error message: "220: The DisplayPort connection has a compatibility problem (HDCP error).", But sometimes also a message "006: The DisplayPort connection n 'is not stable ". I can't find the problem I updated everything (USB drivers and graphics drivers). My adapter: https://www.amazon.com/Rankie-Adaptateur-Mini-DisplayPort-vers/dp/B00YOVKWQS/ref=sr_1_7?__mk_fr_FR=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&keywords=DP+mini+dp&qid=1576944113&sr=8-7 I also tried with a MiniDP to MiniDP cable but it did not work either, but it was not 4K certified so I thought the problem came from there but it is apparently not the case ... I ask you suddenly your help because I really do not know how to make it work on my laptop (also, my cosmos works on a desktop computer). Thanks for reading and trying to help me! I am French (this explains my writing)
