Hi, I've been having some issues with steamvr crashing which seemed to be somehow caused by the vive wireless app but nothing was reproducible enough that I thought it worth reporting. But over the last few days I've noticed that it is also causing unreal engine to crash. If I either close the wireless app, or I disconnect the battery to headest/the battery runs out, it will immediately cause unreal engine to crash with no warnings and nothing written to unreal logs. I'm not sure what information I should provide to help work out what the issue is but if someone lets me know I'd be happy to provide any further details. Thanks. @Jad
Seems everytime i start my Vive cosmos, i have to fight with the following cycle: vive console loads steam vr loads steam vr crashes steam vr restarts in safe mode steam vr works but now vive console does not restart both and same issue just repeats. after several attempts, reinstalls of steam vr, file validations, or just trying repeatedly it just magicially decides to work. I've noticed it prefers to launch in steam VR home to be stable. Which I actually prefer to the viveport. so questions. Is there a way to fix this? I've tried beta, stable release, reinstalls, same issues. is there a way with the cosmos to set it to just use steam vr home instead of the viveport? Viveport seems to have an issue finding all my games anyways, so i prefer Steam VR home. @stvnxu
Hello Vivers, I have a very basic, but really frustrating problem: I bought a ViveProEye and started to prepare the setup by executing the steps which are depicted on the nice chart which was delivered with the package. First step is to townload the "ViveProSetup.exe" file from vive.com. So I did. Then, I ran the installation. However, the installation process needed to be paused since I unexpectedly did not have the time anymore to continue the setup (it stopped when the computer scanned for the vive devices, headset etc.). Thus, I put my laptop (see system and graphics specs in the pics attached) into "hibernation" mode and intended to re-start the installation setup the next day. However, when I tried it the next day, I couldn't run the installer anymore: first, a pop-up window appeared with the message "Severe installation issue present" or something - which does not appear anymore - yet now always the installer crashes when I launch it! There is now no error message, nothing, just the blue installer (see screenshot) screen for 3-5 seconds which disappears without any notice on why the process stopped. I appreciate a lot your support, since I cannot find ANYTHING on the web about this problem which causes a lot of discomfort and disappointment with the product. Thanks a lot in advance! Dalibor
Hey, I finally got the HTC Vive through amazon brand new. I used it yesterday and set everything up and it was perfect. Today I come and try to hook everything up to get it going and everything is working but one of the controllers. They were both charging together but only one works. I'm confused since it hasn't even been 24 hours of me having it. I tried charging for another hour and reset and repairing everything. But there is still nothing happening with it. No led's no sound no connection no power. Please help Cheers
