    VR for Impact

There is one bold difference between professional forum managers and unprofessional ones. Professionals try to answer to members' concerns even if the posts is not in favour of their company. Unprofessionals delete the post! I asked why nobody from viveport answers me and

    @heatherbirchall,  @Experience360, @Backlight, @nn5891, @RFN,  @AFD_France, @spectre_vr, @VRpeaceMuseum

And the forum manager deletes my post!

It is interesting that nobody from viveport care about developers here.!! Not only nobody from the staff answers my question about why vrforimpact announced the end of the deadline out of the blue, but also It seems that  do not think they should answer to other devs like :

    @heatherbirchall,  @Experience360, @Backlight, @nn5891, @RFN,  @AFD_France, @spectre_vr, @VRpeaceMuseum,

Thanks a lot dear professional support team!

    Dear

    It is your sentence:

"They never said the forum was the place you would definitely get a question answered, nor is that usually the case with hardware companies."

They always say the forum is where you should ask you questions in.

For eample please go here and read the page.

"If you have further questions, or want to engage in discussions around how to use VR to change the world, please visitour online community."

If you are responsible for the forum why you did not help those 11 members which I mentioned in my post who asked questions about this initiative and never received any answers? If you are not responsible for the forum please let  or @Rockjaw answer me. Unfortunately I could not answer to your posts anymore and just want to receive an answer from viveport team.

I strongly oppose this sentence that you mentioned:

"The only ones angry are the ones who messed around until after the deadline on an initial submission that wasn't meant to be something that took weeks to put together. "

    According to @Rockjaw:

"this should be seen as a business proposal, and the more you can give to support your application, the more likely we are to take it seriously"

It is natural that preparing professional business proposals could take weeks, specially for busy teams and busy devs.

In my opinioncan any person whose time is valuable will be angry with unscheduled programs and unprofessional event managemet.

    Hello

Thanks for answering to my concerns :)

I have not received any email from Vive, Viveport or ViveForImpact regarding the deadline.

Before the deadline, following community members asked questions about this initiative and never received the answer. I was waiting for viveport to answer them, then send my project which I worked on for 3 weeks.

Also after the deadline these members asked questions and not received any answer:

Anybody who have experience working with AAA companies knows what is the meaning and consequences of such an unprofessional behavior. As a senior developer, I have experience in working with Microsoft, Oculus, Intel, Foundry and Adobe, and non of them are irresponsible. At least they answer developers and professionally document their initiatives. Please compare with HTC documentation at viveforimpact website!

Currently I am preparing my proposal to send it to Oculus and Sony and I am almost sure that at least they answer me!

    Hello

Unfortunately in my opinion the way viveport managed this initiative was so unprofessional!! Some people asked about the deadline and nobody answered them! Many other questions were asked and remained unanswered! The end of accepting proposals were announced out of the blue!!! The question is: "What is the reason that ViveForImpact manages $10m in this unprofessional way?"  Frankly, I am personally very thisappointed about a company that seems does not respect the valuable time of its 3rd party developers. So unfortunately despite the fact that I love Vive, from now I prefer to make apps for Oculus and PlayStation instead of Vive!!

    Hi

    2 queztions:

1- Do you select the first winning projects just based on the idea or you need implemented projecs for selecting the first winners?

2- Is there a web address that you publish the ideas on for public acsess?

    Thanks

Announcing our third group of VDA nominees!

    Hello @Rockjaw, Thanks.

Would you kindly answer these 2 question:

    1. Is it a good idea to submit an earlier version sooner, then sumbit the complte one? suppose submitting one version on 27th, then submit another version on 29th.
    2. Do you process submissions on 26th and 27th of november (Sa and Su - weekend), or you do not process any item at weekends?

    Best,

    Jim
