  1. Hey all, so while trying to solve my high cpu usage issue with SRanipal, I have no run into a new issue. Eye tracking works perfectly fine, but my facial tracker is only sending data (or SRanipal is only receiving data) for about 5 frames every 2 seconds. In Unreal Engine and in other apps like Neos, I will open my mouth, and after about 2 seconds it will get the data and open the avatar mouth and move slightly over the course of 5 frames, but then it will freeze and receive no inputs, until 2 seconds later in which case the mouth will update. The Eyes work fine and receive data consistently so it is something to do with the Facial Tracker to SRanipal. This was all working fine just a few days ago. I know the problem is not a delay issue, because every 2 seconds it will match my face at the current time, but then it will simply freeze at that point ceasing any further data until 2 seconds later. Sorry if any of this is confusing, I am quite mentally exhausted after struggling with this device for the past week.
  2. Were you ever able to find any solution? Whether making SRanipal 1.3.2 work better or by finding 1.3.1 or 1.3.3?
  3. One thing I am curious about is, has anyone found the installer for 1.3.3 or is it only in SDK format? I would assume 1.3.3 would have a fix that would reduce the CPU requirement.
  4. Hey, sorry for the late response. Couldn't get onto a computer until now and the phone wouldn't let me login. I am using an i7-9700k. I sent a message into Vive Support and will update here when they respond. Hoping they have an answer for us. I appreciate your work around. Unfortunately from the sound of it, it will not help me out very much though if the eye tracking lags. I am using this to test programs, software, and a video game I have been working on. It definitely isn't being cause by the vive facial tracker, since with eye tracking disabled, I can track my mouth with the facial tracker at 4% usage. Eye tracking with facial is around 40 to 45% for me, and without facial tracker it is about 35% to 40%. Like others have said, even if I do not have the headset on my head, or any programs using it, it still drains 40% with the eye tracker. And based on what testamundo presented, 1.3.1 works just fine at about 8%. I think there is something wrong with the 1.3.2 version itself. Both you and I shouldn't have any problems even with our weaker processors. I am surprised after how many months nobody else has mentioned an issue though.
  5. Did anyone end up finding a way to lower SRanipal? I am running into the same issue as all of you.
  6. Hey all, so I couldn't find any help about this. There was only one other forum post but nobody actually explained how they fixed it. My cpu usage for SRanipal fluctuates from 38% to 43% consistently. I am not sure what to do to try and lower it. RAM is about 31 MB. Disk and Network are essentially 0 and GPU is about 9% for this. Runtime Version: 1.3.2.0 Runtime Type: Public Eye Camera Version: 2.41.0-942e3e4 Lip Camera Version: 50100 I am using the facial tracker as well with it, however when I disabled eye tracking the SRanipal CPU Usage dropped all the way down to 4%. So the facial tracker is barely affecting CPU Usage but the eye tracker by itself is draining my CPU by 33% to 38%. Does anyone know what features might be causing this or any kind of settings I could change? I would assume SRanipal is not supposed to be this high.
