  1. Ok just tried again by disabling Defender real time scanning - launched a game and it was all smooth. Way to early to say at this point, but maybe making progress. But it worked great all day Wed. and then back to same mess yesterday. Hoping deleting that config folder and letting it rebuild might help.
  2. I solved the base stations showing a yellow triangle issue. I uninstalled Steam VR and then I also deleted all the contents of the Steam/Config folder. Now the base stations are reporting properly in Steam VR and sleep properly when exiting Vive Console/Steam VR. Still troubleshooting this thing regarding the shaky stuttery mess the image is in once I launch a game. That is the big issue that renders this headset unusable for me. Still trying, have not totally given up yet but getting close to it. I know there has to be a clue in the fact that on Wed. I did not have that at all, yesterday and today it is back with a vengeance. I disabled Defender real time scanning Wed. morning then it worked so well all day. But yesterday and today that little trick did nothing to help.
  3. @C.T. I got a response from Mayra on the logs I sent. She did not really say anything about the logs just asked some basic cookie cutter questions and to check things I have already done multiple times. I was hoping the logs might give some sort of clue. And I will tell you what is really strange is yesterday I disabled Windows Defender Real Time Protection just to try that, and it ran all day yesterday without the stuttering image. Then this morning I tried the same, and stuttering image was back with a vengeance even with it disabled. I really am at the point of just throwing my hands up. I believe for me on my system there is some kind of conflict going on with the Vive Pro 2 and Windows 11. But I sure can not figure out what it might be. I even uninstalled Macrium Reflect to make sure it was not causing this. If I were having trouble with any of my other headsets that would be one thing, both Reverb G2 and Index work flawlessly for me - used the Index all day today and it uses the same base stations. Base stations would go into sleep mode just fine, and no yellow triangles shown for them in Steam VR. Go figure. At this point if those logs do not give a clue I really am at the point of throwing my hands up on this one. And again the Vive Pro 2 worked flawlessly since June, and that all changed around the time I upgraded to Windows 11 in early October. And I even tried removing all of Windows Mixed Reality and it's remnants from when I was using the Reverb G2. And uninstalled and reinstalled Steam VR and Vive Console multiple times. The base stations throwing up a yellow triangle and saying not found is not really an issue. They still work fine with the VP2, did all day yesterday. Just can not set them to sleep or standby. I can live with that ok. The stuttering image though is horrible and I can not deal with that. So if the logs give no clue, I give up.
  4. Just a bit of info - looks like all my woes with VP2 began after upgrading to Windows 11 on Oct 5th. Prior to that best I remember never had an issue with it - purchased in June when first released. Could be a coincidence I suppose.
  5. Ok log has been uploaded. Trace# 20211125170109 Thanks,
  6. Thanks already did the trying different USB ports. Will see about getting the log sent in, probably later on in the evening we are fixing to head out for a while. I will let you know when I get it sent in thanks.
  7. Well I thought everything was working great, been fussing around all morning with this thing. I tell ya I am about at the end of my rope, time for me to cut my losses on this one I think. Way too much aggravation factor involved in using this VP2. Especially when I can plug the Index in, or the Reverb G2, and they both work flawlessly every time. Crazy that the VP2 worked great from June up to about a month ago. Even replacement headset I got is acting up now. Maybe it does not like Windows 11. That is about the time my troubles began. I have troubleshooted this thing far more than I ever should have I think.
  8. Also keep in mind tracking is great with the base stations and Vive Pro 2. The only downside to this is I can not set base stations to either stand by or sleep mode. Other than that everything working beautifully. Just a slight inconvenience I need to unplug them at end of day or gaming session. With Index headset, I do not have this issue with same base stations. Very strange.
  9. Yes, Link Box is on my desk and base stations diagonal to my desk. Probably around 12 ft apart.
  10. This is what Steam VR with Vive Console reports for my base stations. Yet they are solid green and tracking perfectly whilst gaming. They will not go into standby or sleep mode I guess cause Steam VR with Vive Console thinks they are not working. But yet, plug in the Index instead and they are recognized properly in Steam VR. Also have tried uninstalling and re-installing Steam VR a couple of times. Crazy huh...
  11. This is really strange @C.T. Ok so my base stations stay on full power ( green lights). When I load Vive Console and Steam VR loads with it, I go into Base Sation Settings and scan for base stations, and it says there are none broadcasting. But they are, and are tracking. If I go to power management in Steam VR, it shows the two base stations with yellow triangles and shows them as connection failure. But they are solid green and tracking fine. Now if I unplug the Vive Pro 2 and plug in the Index, they show with it just fine and sleep properly when exiting Steam VR. But with Vive Console running with Steam VR, the above is how they show and behave. Light stays solid green and they are tracking fine, but don't show in the Steam VR settings. So at then end of gaming session with Vive Pro 2 I either need to plug Index in so the base stations will go to sleep more, or just unplug them. Also if base stations are in sleep mode when I power up Vive Console/Steam VR, they will not wake up. Again it is like they don't exist when Vive Console is running , with just Index they operate as they should. But they are tracking even though with Vive Console Steam VR says they are not. Pretty weird huh. When you are back from your leave let me know how to generate the log you need and I will do so. Thanks,
  12. No problem - yes will try and get that little later today thanks. If you are off today do not worry about it, just take a look when you get back.
  13. @C.T. Not sure if you saw it yesterday but I posted my Steam VR Report : Let me know if you see anything odd. Thanks,
  14. Nope no go with the Vive Pro 2. Base stations will not wake up and run. Index they did perfectly so issue is somewhere in Vive Pro 2. And again this is a replacement VP2 I received on Sunday afternoon. Been having this problem ever since. I don't know what else to try, have clean installed both Vive Console and Steam VR two or three times now already. Going to just go back to Index and enjoy some trouble free gaming for the rest of the day. Hopefully @C.T. will maybe see something in the logs that gives a clue.
  15. Ok been testing my Index since my last post - absolutely zero issues with the base stations doing the same tests as I was doing with the Vive Pro 2. Also no Steam VR crashes with critical error upon exiting Steam VR like I was getting when exiting Vive Console/Steam VR. Will try the same - will disconnect Index now and run a series of same tests with the Vive Pro 2 again now that I know Index working fine. Thanks for the feedback.
  16. Ok little more info @C.T.. I disconnected the Link Box, and restarted the PC. Reconnected Link Box, and instead of the three beeps I usually hear when connecting it, I heard like eight beeps. And now base stations are not recognizing or waking up. I will have to again remove the USB drivers in Steam VR Developer Mode, and reboot the PC to get them working again. I sure hope something in that Log gives you a clue as this is so frustrating.
  17. I would add this whole base station not waking up issue with the VP2 only started with this replacement headset I received on Sunday. I suppose I could test it out with my Index and see if it exhibits the same behavior. Ok I removed the USB drivers in Steam VR Developer Mode, reboot and restarted Vive Console and Steam VR and they are working now. Will see if it happens again immediately following a Steam VR critical error after closing Vive Console again.
  18. Just did a clean install of both VIve Console and Steam VR. Beta of Vive Console, release version of Steam VR. Base stations not waking up or being recognized. Pulling my hair out here. Attached is my Steam VR Report. Any help would be greatly appreciated! SteamVR-2021-11-23-AM_09_58_24.txt
  19. Well it is doing it again, Steam VR Critical Error after closing Vive Console followed by losing my base stations ( not waking up) on next start of Vive Console/Steam VR.. Going to try a clean install of both Vive Console and Steam VR one more time. If it still happens will get the log.
  20. I had accidently messed up the channel numbers on my two base stations and was having issues yesterday, got that squared away so that might have played a role. I will see how it does today and advise, thanks. If it starts doing it again I will post the report.
  21. Ok so this one may be on me duh. Apparently I was messing around with the channel numbers for each base station and saw you could assign various numbers to them. Well I ended up with the first one listed on channel 2 and the second one on channel 1. So I swapped them back out to how they were originally - first one channel 1 and second one channel 2. Have closed out of Vive Console and shut off Link box a few times, even did a PC reboot in between some, and now they are coming on each time I launch Vive Console just fine - at least so far. Will see what tomorrow brings LOL. Sorry Vive, I was just frustrated and apparently seems I created the issue from my own stupidity.
  22. Seems I have a whole new issue now. For some reason I keep losing my Lighthouse base stations with the Vive Pro 2. I will play a session and then exit, then later when I relaunch Vive Console the base stations are never recognized. I literally have to remove the USB drivers in Steam VR Developer tools, reboot the PC, reconnect the Link box and let it install them again. Then I will play for a session and end, then next time I launch Vive Console have to go through it all again. I tell ya I have about had it- this is way more trouble than it is worth. Going to try the Index again to see if the base stations do this with it - if not I think I am going to cut my losses and shelve this VP2. Aggravation factor is just getting way too dang high now. I spend way more time trying to troubleshoot this thing. I literally have to remove the USB drivers via Steam VR Developer Tools, reboot the PC and let them install again after turning LInk box on, after each and every game session. This is nuts.
  23. I still get Steam VR crashes with critical error every time I exit Vive Console. This Beta did not change that for me.
  24. I have to say big Kudos to HTC Repair in Seattle, they got me taken care of really quickly with no issue. And my experience with support after getting the ticket open was very good as well. So thank you HTC!!
