Hello -- I'm a recent customer of the VIVE Cosmos Elite. I've spent the better part of a day troubleshooting issues with connecting the VIVE through my desktop (specs below). Wondering if anyone has some troubleshooting tips or experience with the errors I've been seeing and steps to get the headset to operate.
I'm able to run through most of the setup, but eventually, when SteamVR kicks on, all items may be paired/tracking, but my headset posts a static red LED with no display whatsoever, and I often get the following errors (most frequent to least frequent):
210 - The compositor is disconnected.
201 -- The headset display cannot be detected.
200 -- The headset cannot be detected.
001 -- Headset is not connected.
I also have the Wireless Adapter and often receive the latter two errors when I attempt to connect without the GPU wiring. FWIW I've been using the stock DisplayPort cable and the Converter that were sent to me.
I have tried every troubleshoot I've found, including unplugging cables & replugging, fresh reinstall of the software (VIVE, Steam, etc.), reboots, adjusting my graphics cards in SLI (I have 6 monitors and even when I turn down to 1 monitor, I can't get it to function), updated all drivers for USB/GPUs. I was able to go through the setup on another desktop that is less powerful, but has a fresher GPU (age-wise) and the device operates just fine, leading me to believe this is a hardware issue on my side.
The VIVE, Steam, and NVIDIA GeForce VR-readiness tests all indicate my computer should be able to render and handle VR, but the VIVE live chat support took a look at my logs and concluded that my GeForce GTX Titan isn't on their compatibility list. Anyone have any thoughts I should look into? Much appreciated.
