  1. Hello, To be honest, that's a shame! I own an HTC Vive and I was quite happy with it but I was expecting for a better resolution... then the Cosmos arrived and I was a faithful customer and decided to go with it being thrusful with HTC... Then I started to figure out that the headset is poorly designed from ground to roof and that, whatever HTC support team is saying to us, no update will achieve to make the experience acceptable for the vast majority of users. And then... instead of seeing excuses and propose refund plan and/or free upgrades, they tell us that we can invest twice the money to get something that actually works! I'm very sorry to not be from US to be able to launch something like a class action or equivalent to put HTC in front of their responsibility! I have a vive with its controller and base station and in order to make it compatible with the Cosmos I don't want to pay one euro considering that it will be the ONLY way to have an operational Headset! It is not like we were asking for new features... just functioning ones! Sorry to be so upset on that topic, but guys...really? What do you expect from us?
  2. Hello, One more issue with my vive cosmos... the image displayed in the headset is slowly moving from right to left without doing anything with it. Basically, that means that I start playing a seated game an after 30 seconds I'm obliged to turn my head at almost 90 to the left to see the center of the screen. And even after recentering the view using in-game button ... it is the same! The more I'm trying to use the Cosmos, the less I'm happy with it... please HTC do something BIG in order to improve things quickly or organize something enabling a full refund for each unhappy user. i'm getting tired of seeing no new improvements (when will arrive the next official patch for tracking? When will we be able to use the headset without tracking (for seated games for instance)?). And seeing that your teams are working on new products instead of fixing this one... is clearly one of the worst thing I've seen these days... I'm quite sure that we finally have bought the most expensive book end with this headset... @stvnxu
  3. By the way, I have another question related to that topic... when, finally, the headset start the tracking, it is continuously showing a message "There are not enough features around you....". And that's true, controllers are not working very well! But, as I don't need them (I'm able to drive without any issue) and there are off... I would like to know if there is an option to make this message disappear (a kind of "disable warning" option)?! Thanks!
  4. Hello everyone, I'm using the Cosmos at 99% to play games on a seat (racing) so I don't really need to use controllers (and that's fortunate considering current tracking issue 😞). But, each time I'm launching the headset, it seems it "looses" the environnement and its is asking me to re-do the room configuration. I know that I'm not in a very lightened room, but as tracking is not really required for what I'm doing... So, as I'm not using any room scale features, I'm wondering if it exists a way to launch the headset in "seated-game" mode not requiring any kind of tracking and so enabling me to use the headset as soon as I'm starting it? Thanks in advance for your support! @stvnxu
  5. Hello everyone, My first message on this forum to share a small tip to correct nasty "pops" appearing when using our HTC Cosmos microphone. Before doing that, it was very difficult for people chatting with me to understand what I was saying because of the too frequent "pops". Of course, with such a poor location and isolation of the microphone hole, it is not surprising to see this happening... (by the way...HTC should think about reinforcing designers or testers staff of that part too (the first part being the tracking of course :)) because the problem appeared after few seconds of use and in a very common way of using the headset. Anyway, with just a piece of paper put between the bottom part of the headset and the "nose support" (these two parts are just clipped together and can be separated easily to correctly introduce and lock the paper)... it does the trick! The sound remain OK (it is of course altered a little bit...) but "pops" almost totally disappeared! Of course, I'm dreaming of a more definitive solution provided for free by HTC... So if someone from the team is seeing this message... 😉 In attachement you can see the "installation" of the filter and you can hear two sound samples with and without the paper. I hope it helps 🙂 PS: it was recorded with basic headset setup and using the recording function of StreamLabs. WithFilter.mp3 WithoutFilter.mp3 @C.T.
