  1. @stvnxu But at least this can't be the solution... users diving into the deep settings to change values in configuration files. Please make sure to get such thanks added asap and not in an update anywhere in the future. Same with repositioning and other things we all mentioned. Thanks.

  3. @stvnxu Hi. This is really a serious problem... The combo for taking screenshots is the same as in Steam and it seems the Vive Console overrules the Steam Combo. So this happens: I get a 3D side by side screenshot from Vive Console but no screenshot inside Steam (bound to the game inside). The Steam screenshot is a normal 2d one and can be shared inside Steam. So I ask here for an option to deactivate this button combo (and an option to select a different combo instead). A screenshot outside of Steam is senseless. Thanks. @stvnxu @C.T.

  5. Where have I written that with a single word? I only said it would be fixed if it would be that easy. We have read often enough that Rift S developers also needed time to fix tracking issues. I expect the guys at HTC also to get the things fixed completely but I'm just realistic about the time it takes. And I rarely have seen developers are able to tell when all fixing is done...
  6. Could it be you deactivated your page-file or set it to a fixed very low amount? At least that has been an issue for me with freezing VR games.
  7. I wonder you still get too dark messages. I rarely got them since the last updates. How should developers give a timeline on fixing all bugs? If it would be that easy it all would be finished already...

Some first testing on Beat Saber: tracking is more precise now on fast controller crossing movements and less tracking loss on right controller to far left or left controller to far right movements. Still there's a bit floating around sometimes and still there's some tracking loss, but this is definetily one of the bigger steps forward. Thanks for this update 🙂
  10. I made pretty good experience with rechargeable 1900mAh Eneloops NiMH BK-3MCCE/8BE. I would say I get 4-8 hrs. gaming depending on content.
  11. At the beginning it often wasn't possible to finish Hard modes on Beat Saber with full combo. With the actual beta I already finished 5 different Expert modes on Full Combo. That's how I can describe it.
  12. I just see it that way: I got a just released product which needs to be optimized. I have two options: • ranting • helping to get things better That was an easy decision. I did that long video for upload here. Also two more videos for issue report And in addition I sent in 3 different issue reports to help with the data. All in hope to get a better tracking experience.
  13. You very likely didn't read deep enough... I'm more critical than you think but I'm far away from talking about a broken hardware, that's all... Don't you have an option to send back your headset? I got but I decided not to.
  14. And so different are the expectations... I am just happy to get a headset with an inside out tracking only as I don't need/can't place the sensor thing. Same with manual IPD. This headset is the only one which qualifies for my needs.
  15. 1st: I know those test videos. 2nd: always find out by yourself. I have seen like every single video with testing on this headset and sometimes I thought they were paid by Oculus... Just an example about the 2 hours battery life nearly everyone talked about... absolute rumour and false news... --- to your question: Getting better with each one: I meant with every single update.

  17. As you immediately installed the newest update you just can't tell anything about the work they've already done on getting things better. And you wrote it by yourself: the Rift S got the same problems. Yeah, it's fixed there but it took time and also the Rift S has been released much longer ago. I am one of the pre-orders and gone through every single update. And it's getting better with each one. And it's not the case that it's broken or something. Just tracking is not error-free at the moment. Do some testing with the games where you think it's broken and then send in the issue-report and help them fixing things with that. Or continue being mean which might be a lot less helpful as you can think.
  18. Versuche bitte mal Folgendes: unten links, neben dem Starmenü-Symbol auf die Lupe klicken und Kamera eingeben. Dann wählst Du: "Auswählen, welche Apps auf die Kamera zugreifen können". Im Fenster, welches sich jetzt öffnet, schaltest Du "Zulassen, dass Apps auf Ihre Kamera zugreifen" auf "EIN". Weiter runter scrollen und "Zulassen, dass Desktop-Apps auf die Kamera zugreifen" ebenfalls auf "EIN". Vorsichtshalber einmal Rechner neu starten und Dein Glück probieren.

  20. If you go high end you won't go for a hdd any more. And as main drive you optimally go for NVMe M.2

  22. That's always my 1st appearance... if it's not working I opt out of SteamVR beta (no uninstall), just opt out and it actualizes itself to stable version. In most cases it fixed my problem. Then just opting back into beta after nest beta update.

  24. Never ever ask for this. Updates come in when they're ready. I appreciate better update quality over update quantity.
