I doubt you can judge over others that there's a need to justify their purchase. It could also be the case people are compensating their wrong expectations from a new developed product. If people can't deal with starting problems why then buying a product before a release or just after a release with only bad reviews? If you do the room setup, start standing facing towards the correct direction. After that only look left and right and keep standing. This should give you the correct direction.

The golden key is even lightning. Too bright spots let the cams underexpose the darker areas in the room.

Maybe the Firmware update failed. Please try the following: open the console and go to settings->advanced and activate beta program there. Now there should start the software update again. Maybe the new installation fixes your issue.

Maybe it's a difference once you did the room setup with better lights. I guess the headset can recognize the setup room then with less lights.

For a price of 250 bucks where you easily could have get a new device for zero cost.

The tracking wasn't good on release but it's getting better with every beta release. Personally I can play Expert levels and finished some of them with full combo. You can read about the latest beta here:

I ordered these cover pads for my headset as I didn't like that wet feel of the original foam when you're sweatening as you you can't just dry it that easy. https://www.ebay.com/itm/274097513883 Those are super cheap and much thinner. So you get nearer to the lenses which results in greater fov. Also you can just wipe the sweat away with ease. Only downside is, that maybe some light gets through the sides now but I gotta say that I really don't notice that when gaming. It's definetily worth a try.

Please open the Lens menu, there you can find the option for the passthrough-view in the settings. You can select between normal see through, green lines or a blended mix of both.

Step by step we're getting there. Maybe too slow for some users here but the developers making progress. As usual I tested Beat Saber. The room was far away from being well lit (lights off and cloudy day on sunset. I immediately could finish a level on expert with full combo where I failed everytime before due to glitches or track loss. Cross movements seems more stable now. So definetily a great move into right direction again. Also tried the rifle mode in Overkill VR. At least you can aim but still it's very stuttering, shaky, unstable. Still a lot of improvements to do there. I'd say NOW we're on that 90% some were talking about longer ago. Thanks for keeping up the good work on improvements. Try the next beta which just has been released. First comments tell that there's a great improvement for Rifle mode beside other improvements.
