  1. It's surely repetitive. 1st of all: hands behind your back is out of cam and since it's inside out tracking without sensors it can't be tracked. Controllers near face they're working on, but same here: due to cam use it won't reach tracking with sensors. Rifle mode they are working on and we got to wait how far it goes. Hopefully we'll land where the Rift S has already reached with tracking. But keep in mind even the powerful Facebook stuff needed several months to get this done. You can help with doing videos and sending in issue report together with that to help them fixing the tracking.
  2. @davide445 Quite easy to answer: if you opt out of beta you automatically go back to the latest public version which is 10.0.9.6 😉
  3. One problem I see is that Rift S developers got much more feedback and data to work with. But with only 5 people concerning about an unlucky beta version progress takes much longer time I guess. You could help by doing videos of the things that don't work and send it in, together with an issue report. Your data can help. We're a small community of users who had the balls to get this headset... now have the balls to help getting it better 😉
  4. C'mon guys. Are u all going to shitstorm now or what? This is the first update which a step back and it's a beta, don't forget that. They probably tried something out with that. Beta versions tend to be experimental. If you don't want that just stay on public. It isn't true that there's no progress as the tracking got better which each beta (except this one). You can support the developers by describing what's not working and what exactly happens. Ranting doesn't help to get things done. Right, I'm also not happy with the actual state but except of this update I see progress.
  5. I totally get you and I'd prefer either but it makes no sense to let a musician do the painters work and vice versa.
  6. C'mon, we both know the graphics guys are not the tracking developement guys so the one got nothing to do with the others. You can't seriously demand HTC do do nothing else on the software until tracking works completely.
  7. yeah sure, like I wrote earlier. Maybe you got a heat problem on demanding VR.
  8. Just played a longer Talos Priciple session and the tracking is actually good on very low light condition. Kudos for that 🙂 @C.T. Just an idea about the cams. I guess the exposure is the same for all of them, right? Maybe it's worth to try an independent exposure for every cam. So if you head a light source with one side and a dark with the other results in different exposures.
  9. So sun has passed and I tried again. I also deleted room info before and did a new setup. Beat Saber can be played again. This was the first day with good light since very long time where I tested earlier on the day. It turns out that my headset very likely will become useless on every sunny day/afternoon during spring and summer. The headset tracks much much better on lower lightning then on very good lightning with uneven sources. Quite disappointing as I didn't expect that after so much improvements.
  10. Interestingly in my case (I just tried virtual rifling in Steam VR Home by holding the controllers in rifle mode and then moving around) always the farer controller lost tracking... @Retsu: which hand you hold closer to your face? Mine is the right hand.
  11. I gotta say the first test attempt on Beat Saber was just awful, like 8 beta steps back. Beat Saber is unplayable now, the controllers are just floating around many times. I don't know what you did here but I would say, please revert this beta update. I'll test again later today on sunset to see how it's doing on less light. Sorry guys.
  12. It goes often that way... people jumping in with their first comment, full of bashing and with zero constructive content. sigh
  13. Do you have those bluescreens without wireless aswell? Not that you maybe have a heating problem as wireless is more demanding. You could give it a test by leave the case open and try again.
  14. With saying thanks for a sidestep I didn't mean to declare tracking update as finished. A little bit too black white view here. I just appreciated that they found a few time between to get some other things done.
  15. Maybe it's possible to implement such a slider into Lens menu aswell... I mean they just released a fix which changes the Gamma of the Revive titles extremely, why not adding 3 general sliders for gamma, brightness and contrast... @C.T.
  16. @Fink Have you also tried the Viveport games you mentioned in the other thread?
  17. Thanks a lot for doing a sidestep from the tracking enhancement to release some other bugfixes and feature additions.
  18. @C.T. @stvnxu But it seems this isn't a "Revive only" problem. The titles mentioned in the following thread seem all to be from Viveport, at least the ones mentioned by @Fink but I guess also the titles mentioned by @bulgaro80. So I would really appreciate if you just test the program code for Viveport and Steam aswell.
  19. Hey Clark, I totally feel you... as I'm german too. Sometimes you just get understood slightly different than you meant it... that's what I experience often in chats.
  20. @stvnxu Steve, that is unacceptable. If the black cannot be displayed as dark black for the reason of not being an oled then of course the other objects/colors have to be displayed lighter with more contrast so that you can see them. I mean, it's possible on a normal non oled flatscreen, so I expect this on the cosmos display aswell.
  21. In this case it should be really easy to fix then @stvnxu As not seeing anything in dark games is really important bug and the fix should be really easy to program, maybe the developers can do a little sidequest on it, even if nearly all of you are concentrating on tracking atm.
  22. By removing the lens with a screwdriver you'll loose your guarantee. Just be aware of that.
  23. Didn't you succeed with the above mentioned workaround?
