  1. To begin with your first experience you should stay on the public software release as this is the most stable version when it comes to tracking.
  2. In addition to that: if you don't plan to renew your subscription you at least can use the rest of your plan to find out which titles you like most and buy them later on.
  3. Is it this one? https://store.steampowered.com/app/208600/Lunar_Flight/
  4. You have to pay for every game with a price in Steam Store. To play the Viveport Infinity Games you need to install/start the Viveport Software. There you find over 600 games you can play free of charge with your Infinity subscription. You need to install the games through Viveport software. You won't have access to Steam achievements through your Viveport installations. Not all Steam AAA titles are available for free on Viveport Infinity plan. But at least you get a lot of worthy titles.
  5. You said you tried several USB ports. It got to be a usb 3.0 port. Also try to have an exlusive port, not shared with other periphery... for testing purpose.
  6. Make sure you switched the usb link on (the small blue button on the front.
  7. Have you tried to reset the headset and seetings in console settings? Maybe this helps.
  8. @stvnxu @C.T. @VibrantNebula It would be very helpful if you add this info to the first post of every new beta and public version thread 😉
  9. Hi there. Just head over to this thread and read through it 😉
  10. What do you think about this one? https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/flash-world-s-most-powerful-150w-usb-c-powerbank/x/7891996#/
  11. Let's say: the Cosmos is a good headset, but not usable for rifle and bow&arrow mode at the moment. Everything else is a shot into the blue (including the Nokia comparison).
  12. Can you describe your room conditions? Is it very even lightning ore more mixed up with dark and bright sources? Do you have a plain white wallpaper or does it have a contrastful pattern? Atm I got the idea that darker areas force the headset to overexpose the brighter areas which results in tracking loss / bad tracking. I wonder if it could help to let each cam do an exposure for itself. I personally got exactly that problem. My living room is large and I'm standing near of a larger window area and the view to the other end of the room is less bright. As soon as it gets a bit darker after sunset with more even light the problems disappear. So it seems to me they did an exposure change witch this latest beta update: working even better on darker even light conditions for the cost of overexposure on uneven lighning. Maybe I'm completely wrong with my thoughts.
  13. Your thinking is plausible at first thought, but if you take a bit more time to think over it: I guess the HTC team is much smaller than the Facebook team. Also I guess there were a huge amount of more buyers for the Rift S compared to the buyers for the Cosmos which results in much less data or feeback in form of issue reports available to analyse. Considering these I think you just can't expect them to do it in the same time imho.
  14. Haven't you done some research before ordering? You should have been warned to purchase this product at that early state. Interestingly you think everyone getting such a new unstable product has to be a kid.
  15. Does that mean your controller are working correct on public version?
  16. Totally agree. We're all sitting in the same boat: we payed a lot of money for a headset and want it to function error free. Some of us are willing to be patient, others tend to do bashing. HTC actually don't has the performance/arguments to have fanboys. That's too long ago with the M7 imho.
  17. You need to open vive console and head over to the settings. You can opt into beta there which forces the headset to get an update.
  18. It's the first beta update which has been a step backward, all others before have been one or more steps forward. And you know that a beta version can also mean to test things out which for sure can result in a worse result on our home conditions. This also can help to find the reasons for bad tracking on special conditions. If you don't like that please just opt out of beta and wait for the next public release.
  19. This is interesting as I got my right flap on top of the left and I can't remember that I changed this at some point.
  20. The feedback you get by new tracking updates.
  21. Is the recorded voice from the Cosmos integrated micro?
  22. Have you tried to set it to an extremely low resolution? Just to test if something changes?
  23. A nearly 4 months old video.... seriously? I can't understand that you didn't saw that video before ordering your headset... There were really just a few online before release and they nearly all got a negative taste. So I thought people are aware of what they're ordering. I mean: if you are not pleased and don't wanna wait or don't trust HTC any longer, then just sell it and get yourself a proven product. And as you wrote: you already think it's finished. In my case I watched all of those videos before I ordered. They all said because of price there's no market for this particular headset. That may be correct for many users. In my case it's the only headset that fits my needs (no roomsensors placement and manual IPD for 72mm). So I'm thankful that HTC gave me at least the opportunity to play VR.
  24. Try to change software version: If you're on beta, opt out, if you're not, opt in. With doing that you force the headset to get an update. Hopefully it works again afterwards.
