  1. Ill give the a50s a shot with the cosmos, cheers
  2. I have had the cosmos since launch and have been faithful to it sticking by it through its worst with the tracking, i am glad the tracking is much better, to the point where you can actually play gun games. What i had discovered today which surprised me though was the microphone on the headset..... and were it is placed. Right below were your nose goes..... OH GOD THE LOUD NOSE BREATHING SOUND ON STREAMS AND VIDEOS. Why on earth was it placed here. Obviously no software fix will fix it so i ask what i can do as a work around. I like the earphones that come with the cosmos and not too keen removing them for a headset/mic solution and will do it as a last choice as i have a astro a50, the only issue is its much heavier. As much as some people like to watch me shit myself at scary VR games, the loud heavy breathing wind tunnel is real put off lol. What are some ways you guys combat this? (Not breathing is not an option unfortunately) @stvnxu @C.T.
  3. i wonder if its to do with the headset cable going to the link box. Mine seems to twist and curl quite a bit and im worried about the wires on the inside
  4. HA Mrtv, yea dont be fooled, most of the time he talks about everything else besides the cosmos, has said that he would return it more then i count but obviously hasnt and is using it as not it was intended for (that being its meant to be a modular HDM) 1.0.8.8 isnt even current. The latest has improved the issues quite a bit still is a bit janky around some aspects. As a owner of both rift s and the cosmos, the rift s was the same deal for quite a few months since launch. If anything with latest update, it kind of proves its a software issue more so to do with the tracking algorithms then it is to do with hardware. Be patient, don't let any media influencer decide for you and enjoy some vr, most games wont even have the main issues in it unless if your playing a tactical shooter.
  5. Not to sure of the battery level, i had bought a pair of energizer ultimate lithium the week after i bought the cosmos back at release, while i waited for my rechargeable eneloop pros to come in the mail. The energizer ultimate are still going at full bars/full lights even now. So not sure if its accurate or the ultimates are really good batteries. As for tracking i tested it quickly and motions likes passing one in front of the other doesn't seem to get the far controller stuck any more, even Aiming down the sights seems to work much better, It still kind of drifts a little bit then snaps into position initially but it differently doesn't get stuck anymore, this was also done in lowly lit room with a bit of soft sunlight coming in (you would have the light on if you were reading or writing.) Fully lit i would expect it would help with a bit of the drifting. Its a nice little Christmas update present before we all go on holidays.
  6. Ummm what...... like how on earth does Call of duty have anything to do with the cosmos in any form or matter, or am i missing that there is a cod vr game or something... Other then that, i look forward to either trying out the changes or reading on Phoot thinks about them
  7. Yea i saw it today too, was super disappointed it wasn't infinity, i wont lie if i had purchased infinity and not of gotten the year sub with the cosmos i would of been very annoyed with the lack of popular titles.
  8. What is happening with the release, it said it was meant to be released on the 18th of November, which has come and gone, but it still says coming soon. Now the release date has dissappeared from the page and it says latest update to the game was the 19th of November. (back on the 18th) Does anybody know what is happening?
  9. This is great Customer Support, that the support team actually know whats going on. I look forward to the update. I also hope the developers of the games get their games updated with the Cosmos controllers asap.
  10. I have to honestly ask, what were you expecting with a new HMD that every game would work with it that the developers wouldn't have to integrate the HMD and controllers into their game?
