  1. Hi A-Jey. I had a similar experience and then later the inside out view changed to the outline view seemingly by itself. I couldn't change it back via the console so I went to the Origin start point (not my default) and on the shelf there are two HMD's I picked up the Cosmos and brought it up to my head and it changed back to the more familiar (realistic) pass through view for the Cosmos and has stayed like that. Give it a try.
  2. Yes I tied it but it doesn't really affect in game content. Do you get to try the product yourself with these sorts of things? Thanks
  3. Three more games to this list with this same "darkenss" issue are Lone Echo, Proze Prologue and Proze Enlightenment the last two being Viveport offers. Any update would be appreciated. Thanks
  4. Hi. Is there any update on this yet? I noticed that in a few other Games it can get too dark to see clearly in some parts so a way to adjust the global brightness and contrast would certainly resolve this problem. thanks.
  5. Thanks for the update. As for confusion, well your right, there is confusion regarding these offers but it is not confusion on the part of your customers, it comes from conflicting messages from HTC I'm sorry to have to say to you. After I posted here I contacted HTC online support and asked them about it and they told me that because I pre-ordered it my offer was still for one year "the expiry date on the inside of the box was 31/12/2019"" there was no mention of a "redemption period" for pre-orders by the online support person and it certainly wasn't printed on the inside of the box nor did I see it advertised anywhere and certainly not prior to purchasing the device. Here is that part of the chat for your perusal: (12:57:21 AM) Greg: this is for the Cosmos(12:57:30 AM) Carla S.: Thank you for the clarification. For the pre-order it is exclusive for 1 year since the pre-order is done we change it to 6 months. (12:57:58 AM) Greg: So if i redeem my offer now it is still one year I hope?(12:58:20 AM) Greg: it was a preorder(12:58:30 AM) Carla S.: That is correct. It seems that HTC changed the offer to 6 months after the release date and of course how can a customer redeem their pre-order if they did not receive their device until after the release date? I received mine two weeks after (even though it was a pre-order) It seems that we were not given any chance to do so nor were we informed so we could make any choices prior to purchase. So please clarify which instruction I will have to follow now and (which one will be successful without having to jump through further hurdles) has authority to redeem the promissory offer that was part of the marketing for this device, your's or online support? I will attempt to follow that. Thank you. fink. AKA Greg @jagibson
  6. @T Sorry i was a bit unclear. I meant i didn't buy it from Amazon or other online stores but yes i did buy it online from HTC and the promotion was 12 months I even rang their service desk to make sure that was the case.
  7. @T thanks for the reply. I bought the Cosmos directly from HTC and not a online store (I'm in Australia) and the promo was 12 months so I assume HTC will honour their own offer as it was ordered directly from them.
  8. @jagibson Yes I noticed that even though I have only used the Samsung offer it works for both HMDs. So if I were to redeem the Cosmos offer today would that add 12 months to the 3 weeks that I have left on the Samsung giving me 12 months and three weeks total or if not, should I wait until the three weeks have expired first and then use the Cosmos code to get the full use of both offers? Sorry about all the questions but it is a little unclear unless you ask. Thanks
  9. @jagibson I have a question. I have two HMDs, one is the Cosmos and the other is the Samsung Odyssey. Prior to receiving the Cosmos I took up the two month "free" offer for Viveport for the Samsung which used my credit card as part of the process (even though it was free) can I also use my 1 year free pre-order promotion code for the Cosmos at the same time, because they will both use the same credit card number, or do I have to wait until the first offer for the Samsung has expired?
  10. Okay a guy called CABAListic in Steam or fholger on GitHub has modified the openvr_api.dll in F4VR for Index controllers to fix the joystick issues in menus and maps and it works for the Cosmos as well. It tells the application that your are using Oculus controllers and gets around this incompatibility issue. You can download it from here "https://github.com/fholger/openvr/releases/download/fo4vr_v1.1/openvr_api.dll" and then copy it into your "Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4 VR" folder (always backup your old one just in case) this may work for other steam games that use this DLL as well.
  11. Hi again. Well it's been close to a week now so are you able to give us an update on this issue now @Steve? Thanks Fink. @stvnxu
