  1. @Clark_HH Ok, I understand now mate. Thanks for trying to converse in English. Cheers.
  2. He said double-sided adapter but I think he just meant he needed an adapter to use with his Vive Pro and laptop with a mini displayport. So he needs an adapter with a mini dp male to standard dp female in order to connect the supplied Link Box dp cable into. A lot easier to see if you have one in front of you imho.
  3. The one shown in this link is incorrect. It is just a mini to mini DP cable. Here is a correct one that should work fine; https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HNF0KF0/ref=sspa_dk_detail_7?pd_rd_i=B00HNF0KF0&pd_rd_w=X5WP9&pf_rd_p=45a72588-80f7-4414-9851-786f6c16d42b&pd_rd_wg=TkzMN&pf_rd_r=6PFXTDXSM09EYRQAQQBZ&pd_rd_r=809e1505-b7e2-46e2-ba6e-50c887e77eef&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyU0xTVVFXWE1UVkFRJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMjI4ODk4NVQyUE4wSVVGQ0s3JmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTAyMTE0MDYzUDgwU1lIR0ZKQlpYJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfZGV0YWlsJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1 Also best to get as short a one as possible or you will end up with a lot of loose cabling (and maybe poorer performance). This one looks the same as the Rift S one I'm currently using, and you cannot get any shorter than this, lol! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V1QP5VD/ref=sspa_dk_detail_0?pd_rd_i=B07V1QP5VD&pd_rd_w=NIrSI&pf_rd_p=45a72588-80f7-4414-9851-786f6c16d42b&pd_rd_wg=N6zXj&pf_rd_r=1M68N0EEAC001X916PSA&pd_rd_r=e89e429b-6d86-48ec-92ba-aeb30e5bbdbb&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzTTlUVVdSWFlHVEZRJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNTA4MjUyMVNWNFU0R1NNRU9IOCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNDUyNTM5MlVWV1VQQ1pBSzBDViZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2RldGFpbCZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU&th=1 I really wish Vive would ship out these adapters like Oculus does with their Rift S.
  4. @Clark_HH That does not sound very supportive to me mate.
  5. I also have the wireless adapter on my Cosmos but not Boneworks, sorry. I do have Dr Who and this seems to work fine but blacks/contrast is kinda so-so compared to my Vive Pro's and Oculus Rift cv1's oled screens The wireless works great but it does take up quite a few more CPU resources. It depends on the game but in many games/sims I need to lower the in-game graphics settings and SteamVR super sampling in order to make the apps more stable. You might also try going into your vive cosmos console menu/wireless and change the mode from 1 (default) to 2. Sometimes this can help. Also, I found I needed to take off all overclocking of both my cpu (i9 9900k) and gpu (gtx1080ti), including uninstalling msi afterburner in order for my wireless to work best. Like you said, you might want to try temporarily going back to wired and see if this makes any difference. Good luck sorting this out mate.
  6. Lots are available on Amazon. Just do a bit of searching. If you have a local PC shop they will probably have what you need as well. Just make sure you buy ones that are 4K spec'd. Normally the product description will say if they are VR capable. I have my Pro on a laptop right now and I am using the mini DP adapter that a friend of mine got with his Rift S and did not need because he is using it on a desktop PC.
  7. Please close it off and get rid of this offensive video. Thanks.
  8. No problem but what a stupid thing to post on any site with kids. You must be sooo proud, lol! Again, at least it has been pulled from the main Cosmos thread. Again, that should tell you something.
  9. Sorry but this is in poor taste and adds nothing to this forum imho. At least it has been moved to a lot less viewed sub forum. What does that tell ya?
  10. So why would you share such a poor video with terrible language? Sorry but I do not understand why you would not delete this?
  11. I love my Rift cv1 touch controllers and ! actually really like my Cosmos controllers since they are very similar. I do not have a lot of love with my Vive Pro 2.0 controllers though. Can Vive please produce a Cosmos-like controller for the Vive OG and Pro headsets? Maybe preferably one that can also be used with the Cosmos inside-out system? I have looked at getting Index controllers but to be honest these do not appeal to me because they do not have Vive quality. Thanks.
  12. Well there is an option and that is to pry the lens out of their casing using a very small flathead screwdriver or hobby knife. Then use a torch and try to remove any dust particles (or plastic flashing that may be a result of rough shipping/handling) on the underside of the lens and inner screen with a microfiber cloth and blowing a bulb-type camera lens over everything (in a dust-free environment if possible). This can be a painstaking task and if at the end of the day if it was caused by a dead pixel, the results will not improve things. I did all this myself with my Cosmos and ended up concluding it was a couple of dead pixels. Fortunately these are well away from the centre so as long as I don't look for them they do not bother me. So, like A-Jey says, your best option if the odd black spec bothers you is to simply return them for replacement imho.
  13. Unfortunately it seems to me that many VR games have been designed around oled screens and have not been modified by developers for the more modern lcd screens found in headsets like Cosmos and Index. Hopefully in the near future developers will offer oled/lcd in-game settings. Oled screens like the Vive Pro (which I also have) are very hard to beat in darkish games like Westworld. Even my good old Oculus Rift cv1 with oled's and 2.0 SS looks better in most darkish games compared to my Cosmos. In darkish games oled's give much better blacks and much better contrast. The advantage of the newer lcd screens are that they are cheaper to produce and give very good results in most brighter coloured games. No VR screen technology is perfect (eg. sometimes more SDE with oled's). I wish the Cosmos had of come out with oled screens but I imagine that may have bumped the price up ~$100. I predict (= total wild guess) that the next version of the Index will include oled's. Aside; based on my experimentation the Cosmos Lens settings normal, night, and vivid do not do anything to help these darkish games. I do like the Vivid option in some bright coloured games because they do seem to make things pop out a bit more.
  14. This video has way to much immature f'ing language in it for my tender ears, lol! Not necessary imho.
  15. @VibrantNebula Does that mean that if you use the soon to be released Cosmos SteamVR faceplate module you will lose Lens/Origin? Thanks for looking into this mate.
  16. One the very nice things I like with my new Cosmos is it's new VR system with lens/Origin. I don't actually go into Origin all that often but I find the Lens popup very handy for calling up VivePort and Steam games on the fly. Plus it's also easy to go into SteamVR's dashboard if need be. Will this system be available soon for my Vive Pro? Thanks.
  17. Ya, 2 handed rifle type games still do not track properly but for the most part, everything else works a lot better with the latest software. Hopefully the upcoming Beta, later this month, will help. Hang in there mate.
  18. Sorry but once you update to a final (non-beta) version you cannot roll back. If you are having issues with the current final version I suggest you uninstall, then reinstall and go through the setup again. I have had to do this a while back myself and it seemed to fix things.
  19. @tonton and others. Please post in English or at least add a google translate version. I'm often reading these posts on my iPhone and cannot easily access google translate. I'd hate to miss something important you have to say, thanks mate.
  20. So, a poorly defined problem followed by a poorly defined solution. What a surprise, lol!
  21. nk@Rosieox All VR headset have some SDE. The main thing that improves it is higher resolution headset screens. I think my Vive Pro and Cosmos have far less SDE than my Rift cv1 (= same res as your OG Vive). I now find that I only see SDE if I look hard for it and am viewing something on a bare light background. Like everything in life, if you look hard enough for a problem you will find one, lol! It also helps to make sure you are getting the best image quality by doing things like proper headset placement, IPD settings, and graphics settings (like SS). How much you can improve the quality of your graphics is heavily dependant on how powerful you PC is. About 6 months ago I went from a pretty good gaming laptop (AW 17r4; i7 7700hq, gtx1060 6gb) to a proper gaming desktop (i9 9900k water cooled, gtx1080ti, 32gb ram) and this made all my VR headsets seem to go to generation 2 overnight! I your PC specs are on the low side you will never get much better results with high end headsets like the Vive Pro or Index imho. In many cases I think people should spend $ improving their PC's before upgrading headsets.
  22. Nice tracking improvements. I can almost play Angry Birds slingshot now! Still not Rift S standards yet but getting closer. If you move the controllers in a circle in front of you, like winding a winch, controllers still do a bit of wandering. Not sure what this most requested thing was? I thought it was going to be a re-centre function but I don't see this yet. Still, a good positive way to start 2020 imho. Cheers and Happy New Year Mates!
  23. Sorry mate I did not mean to tell you how to suck eggs, lol! If you are using SLI then it probably would be a good idea to just remove one of your cards and see if this helps. Nvidia support for SLI is basically dead now and they would much rather sell you one nice big/expensive gpu. If you are still using it you may be also using a pretty old nvidia driver. SLI and VR have never played well without removing a one card. But you probably already know this. Wireless works fine with both my Vive Pro and Cosmos using a gtx1080ti and currently nvidia 436.48.
  24. Well I guess you should contact Vive Support and ask them for some help. You will probably need to download some logfiles (they will tell you how to do this) so they can trace the problem(s). Good luck.
  25. I found that removing overclocking fro my CPU/GPU made my Wireless a lot more stable. Also helps to use proper wireless batteries as well (21W for Cosmos. 18W for OG and Pro). The 21W Cosmos battery work well with my Pro btw.
