    @paul - I've tagged some members of the WaveSDK team on here for a proper response. I don't believe there is a way to programmatically set idle/shutoff times as power saving options are critical for mobile VR and thus are found pretty low in the tech stack (at the Qualcomm component level). I believe the only way to reliably circumnavigate the power saving modes is to cover the IR proximity sensor (the small window between the lenses) with a piece of opaque tape which will trick the hardware into thinking a user is wearing the HMD thus preventing the headset and the runtime from going idle.

    Hi @VibrantNebula, @paul

    I have the same issue.

    I was wondering, you said it is not possible to delay the sleeping mode since it's a low stack. But is it possible to delay the proximity sensor timer as a workaround ?

    Thanks!

  2. Hi!

    We use a Vive Focus in Kiosk mode, and we need to keep our headsets ON with an application running, while they are charging.
    Unfortunately we noticed that when a headset is charging and displaying an image, its battery decreases faster than it increases.

    In that regard, we thought we could charge the headsets in sleep mode.
    However, sleep mode seems to pause the application which is running, and cuts all connections to our server.

    Is it possible to keep the headset connected to the socket while it is in sleep mode?

    And

    Is it possible to keep the application running in sleep mode?

    Thanks!

  3. Hi!

    Is it possible to connect to a local network (without internet) with the Vive Focus?
    Unfortunately when connecting, the Android interface tell me "Obtaining IP ..." and we are not able to communicate with the headset.

    With the VIVE wifi interface it tell me that the passwords is incorrect .

    Thanks!

    Corentin.

  4. Hi @Tony PH Lin,

    Our device comes from Techdata, a French distributor.
    It's not a developer kit.
    What we did :
    1) We put a kiosk mode archive in a SD Card, the apk in the kiosk archive was without the wave sdk (it was the first attempt, we didn't know we needed it).
    2) We put the SD card in the headset
    3) The headset booted
    4) After the spaceship, black screen. No Vive interface available and pressing the power button did not help.

    Because the only way to update the kiosk mode is to factory reset and we do not have any access to the android interface, we are stuck.

    Is there any way to factory reset with a computer?

    Hi @Tony PH Lin,

    I'm @Fangh colleague.

    Unfortunately after a "Reboot to download mode" the headset restarts and returns to the bootup menu without any changes.

    You will find attached a photo of the interface.

    Thanks,

    Corentin.

  5. Hi @Ken_Lee,

    Thanks for your answer.

    We based our project on the HTC Vive focus especially because of the kiosk mode, for one of the biggest french LBE VR (100 headsets, 500 clients/day).

    Can you give us an approximative release schedule for the kiosk mode fix?
    Any chance this can happen in the next coming 3 weeks?

    Thanks in advance
    Best Regards

  6. Hello,
    I have some issues with the VIVE Focus kiosk mode configuration file, here it is below:

    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>
    <ccSettings>
      <enableUSBdebug>1</enableUSBdebug>
      <enableVirtualWall>0</enableVirtualWall>
      <hasWIFISettings>0</hasWIFISettings>
      <disablePairingUI>1</disablePairingUI>
    </ccSettings>

    Unfortunately despite the values of the file, the invisible walls always appear as well as the pairing UI (it is the interface with the joystick, right?)

    Best regards,

    Corentin.
