    I appreciate that for day-to-day usage this wouldn't be a problem, but surely the signal  threshold for reattaching to a closer AP should be much higher when using Vive Streaming?

    I'll see if I can replicate and send a trace.

    I have the same issue. SteamVR says, headset not detected. Vive streaming hub is fine. Have reinstalled steamvr and followed the recommended steps to resolve the issue but no luck. Launching steamvr from steam doesn't help. I'm dead in the water. 

     

    Note: this all happened after trying to implement Wave in unity. But have rebooted many times since then so there is no running server.

    Hey, there will be conflicts between Direct Preview and VIVE Streaming. If you want to switch back and forth, make sure to stop one of the services first before switching.

    • For 2D Android apps: 
      • App controls (such as playback controls) can now be displayed when 2D apps are in full screen mode. 
      • Beta feature: Multi-touch interaction can be set up through controller button mapping. 
    • A “Downloading” filter is added in the Library, which displays apps that are currently downloading on the headset.  The Library also keeps your most recent filter setting.
    • Support for Wi-Fi 6E is now available in Norway. 

    User experience improvements

    • Improved hand tracking with latency reduction, search recovery speed, and precise gesture recognition.
    • The headset will stay on while transferring files through a USB cable.

    In this update, we've made some changes so that if you manually launch SteamVR on PC, it will not launch as VIVE XR Elite. We've received feedback from users that we were too aggressive in taking over SteamVR. It is now recommended to launch SteamVR from the PC Library inside XR Elite.

    I suggest going to the PC Connection in the XRE Settings. Then, try to find and reconnect your PC once again.

    Afterwards, you should see the VIVE Hub indicating that it's ready. It should be functioning properly from there.

    The first test was quite successful today! Looks very good.

    No coil whine any more, no freeze and the Vive Console and SteamVR closed nice and easy without any error. 😄

    But i think one think isn't enough to tell if it is completely fixed. I will test it  more the next days, when i have more time to do so and report back to you 🙂

    Have you tried updating the client app via the UI yet? the beta has a newer client version than the public one.

    I have the same problem, and I am running pure Wifi 6E mode 80Hz only with NetGear RAXE500. Even when connected to one XR Elite, the streaming would stutter at 100Mbps bitrate with constantly loading and buffering whereas It's totally fine with even 200Mbps on Focus 3. My Pc Specs is AMD 7950x with Nvidia RTX 4080.

    can you try using VBS to connect with the XRElite to see if it's better?
