  1. Hi @themax, Sorry about the issue you're experiencing. This sounds like a controller compatibility issue. This means that the developers of the VR title have not directly supported the new Cosmos controllers at the moment. While our content team is working closely with each developers to optimize their content, the workaround is to use the custom controller bindings provided by the Steam community. It's not perfect, but it is an option! 1. SteamVR 2. SteamVR Dashboard (three lines on top left corner) 3. Devices 4. Controller Settings 5. Select game (e.g. Gorn, Pavlov) 6. Select Cosmos controller (make sure your cosmos controllers are on) 7. Select Community Binding if available and apply. 8. Play Here's a great article you can read if you want to attempt to create your own bindings. If successful, you can share with the community to leverage! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1545634111 @Dickytwo - I think controller compatibility (new buttons) will be always be an issue with older content given the outdated plugins / version of the game. You'll notice for other new controllers introduced this year, they too experienced this and I'm glad SteamVR did the proactive step in creating the community bindings platform. They prepared a great alternative at scale. Nonetheless, this doesn't excuse us from the number of titles not being supported at launch and we apologize for that. The content team is working hard to prioritize all the popular titles to be compatible with Cosmos w/o bindings. Steve
  2. @joellipenta It is now available on the North America Vive site. https://www.vive.com/us/wireless-adapter/ Not yet on Amazon from my current observation.
  3. Hi @TomCgcmfc, Thanks for the feedback! I'll send this to engineering team to see if they have any tips on optimization. The tips I can think off the top of my head is making sure your battery is fully charge and that your antenna is in the best line of sight with the wireless adapter. However, I think you've already tested those so hopefully I can come back internally with other suggestions. Stay tuned! Steve
  4. Thanks @ocguru for the correction! Your english is really good I didn't notice any errors at all haha. @Mr George, Here's a great article that goes more in depth on creating controller bindings. I know this isn't the ideal path for our customers, but we do have a team that is connecting with developers who's content has yet been optimized for Cosmos controllers. This does take some time to get through the list, so this is our temporary workaround. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1545634111 Let us know your progress! Steve
  5. @pataan, From my understanding, it won't matter the time you report the issue so long as it has already occurred. The report will collect the VIVE Console's logs for engineering to look into. Steve
  6. @bulgaro80, Interesting... Could you confirm if you are specifically experiencing this with Reiko's Fragment? Or can you also show another content comparison using both devices? In the meantime, I'll investigate further and also reach out to the developers (I know them personally, they're great). Let me know when you can. Steve
  7. @T, I've submitted each of the issue you reported as line items for our engineering team to investigate. They're requesting for you to submit an issue report. Please provide me a Trace No when you can. Thanks, Steve
  8. Okay since you already opened a ticket with VIVE support - I'll let that team handle the issue with you so you're not receiving multiple communication from us. Please keep us posted on any solution or updates regarding this here in the thread to help anyone else that might be experiencing this. Thank you! Steve
  9. Hi @Mr George, Thanks for the feedback and apologies for the issue. This sounds like a content compatibility issue? Or are you defining "not working" as in tracking accuracy? Content Compatibility: If you find your headset tracking in the game and not your controllers (e.g. they are stuck on the floor), then it's most likely due to controller compatibility. This means that the developers of the VR title have not directly supported the new Cosmos controllers at the moment. We do have one workaround which is using the custom controller bindings provided by the Steam community. 1. SteamVR 2. SteamVR Dashboard (three lines on top left corner) 3. Devices 4. Controller Settings 5. Select game (e.g. Gorn, Pavlov) 6. Select Cosmos controller (make sure your cosmos controllers are on) 7. Select Community Binding and apply. 8. Play Controller Accuracy If you find the content is difficult to play due to the accuracy of the controller tracking. Please stay tuned for future updates as we continue to improve controller tracking, occlusion and lighting conditions. Make sure you're up to date with our latest software! Thank you
  10. Hey @Phr00t - Totally hear ya! Tracking improvements are an ongoing effort and top priority for us to push in our SW updates. I understand if you need to return the product by the deadline and do apologize in advance if that does happen. By no means is this public update our last effort to improve tracking, lighting conditions, etc. We want to communicate with our customers each step so you're aware of the progress being made. Thanks again for your patience and support. Steve
  11. Hi @Subzer0, Thanks for your honest feedback! We do apologize for not meeting the quality of tracking you were expecting from our product. You are definitely not alone as others have expressed the same frustrations. This is our own fault and we are sorry. Currently, we are hard at work in pushing ongoing updates to improve the tracking experience, lighting environment requirements, and additional feature requests. Fortunately, this can all be addressed via software. Our promise is to improve the Cosmos to meet our customer expectation and also to exceed it with future add-ons / accessories. The community in this forum has been EXTREMELY helpful as you'll see most of their reported issues being addressed in our ongoing updates this past month. Please continue to share your honest feedback and issues. Thank you for your patience! P.S. I totally hear ya on the re-center view. It's been forwarded to our engineering team so stay tuned! Steve
  12. @A-Jey, @TomCgcmfc, @T, @eneienei, @Stopka Thanks again for all the feedback. Writing to you all to confirm I've collected and broke it down to review with our engineering team. Your honest posts and feedback has been extremely helpful and we will continue to listening very closely to improve Cosmos. You are all MVPs and trust me - we will make it up to you for the issues you've experienced at launch and sticking with us throughout. Stay tuned for more!! :3
  13. @joellipenta Hey sorry for the confusion! The Wireless Adapter kit for Cosmos is available in certain regions, for example: UK and Australia, but still isn't ready in other regions. It is in the works and will be available soon for all regions. I'm not on the sales team, but I would say yes you should be able to purchase via Amazon when it is released. The wireless adapter kit for both VIVE and VIVE Pro is on amazon so I'd imagine it would be for cosmos 🙂 Let me know what region you're in and I can update you when i hear that it is available. Thanks, Steve
  14. The Wireless Adapter for Cosmos comes with everything you'll need. You do need to install the PCI e card and mount the antenna on your monitor or anything you prefer. From there, mount the adapter on with the battery pack and you're wireless!! Thanks, Steve
  15. Woohoo! I hope you don't, but nonetheless here to support you. 🙂 Keep us posted. Thanks, Steve
  16. Hey @oxygen4004, Sorry about the issue! Going to refer this issue to your other topic you posted: https://forum.vive.com/topic/6800-loss-of-tracking-and-floating-image/ This will keep our conversation under one thread to prevent any confusion for us and readers that may experience the same thing. THanks! Steve
  17. Hi @pataan @w.y, Sorry about the issue you're experiencing! I've also seen other reports on the Len's functionality. I'll escalate this to our engineering team to test and fix. Thanks for sharing this with us. If you can submit an issue report, then confirm with me your Trace No. - it'll help us tremendously when looking at the logs on what's going on. Thank you, Steve
  18. Hey @Dahvis, Apologies on the issue you're experiencing. Let's help you resolve this. I'll need a bit more information to help identify the root cause and share a solution: 1. 001 Error code: Headset is not connected - When you get this error, how are you troubleshooting this? Do you restart console? Or do you ignore and are able to play past it. 2. Please share your computer specs make/model. 3. Submit an issue report so our engineering team can look into your logs to assist. Here are instructions on how to do this: https://forum.vive.com/topic/6662-how-to-report-issue-through-vive-console/ 4. One thing to check is your USB port: Device Manager > USB 3.0 > Properties> Untick " Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" Thanks, Steve
  19. Hey @RianShin, Sorry about the issue you're experiencing. As our fellow community members mentioned, please check to see if you've tried T's and TomCgcmfc's instructions. This is what I would've advised too as next steps to troubleshoot. Could you share with us your computer specs ? Make/model. Device Manager > USB 3.0 > Properties (right click) > Power Management > Untick "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" Device Manager > USB 3.0 > Confirm if you have a warning icon next to ports if you Steve
  20. Hey @oxygen4004, Sorry for the issue you're experiencing. We'll help you get this resolved! Regarding your previous post, you also mentioned that the image is freezing followed by your console going into searching mode. I'll need a little bit more information to fully understand the situation. Please complete the questions / requests below so we can help identify and solve the root cause of the issue! 1. Please submit an issue report through VIVE console. Please don't send me the SteamVR crash logs. We'll want to look at the Console one since you have issues pertaining to its crash. Here are the instructions to submit this report: https://forum.vive.com/topic/6662-how-to-report-issue-through-vive-console/ 2. Loss of tracking: Could you describe the timing of when this occurs? Does this happen immediately when you put on the headset? Which device is losing tracking? The HMD or the controllers? or both? 3. Are you able to complete room setup? Thanks, Steve
  21. Hi @oxygen4004, Let's communicate on the other thread relating this issue so we have one consistent flow for our conversation in resolving this. THanks! https://forum.vive.com/topic/6800-loss-of-tracking-and-floating-image/
  22. @oxygen4004, My apologies on the issue you're experiencing! Keep us posted on your new GeForce upgrade. Let's keep all your post under one thread so the information is consistent and easy to find for us and readers that may share the same issue. 🙂 Let's use this one: https://forum.vive.com/topic/6800-loss-of-tracking-and-floating-image/ Thanks! Steve
  23. @A-Jey, Ah yeah that makes sense. I've submitted this internally so engineering will look at this. Thanks for the suggestion!
  24. Hi @A-Jey, Your discovery is correct - data used for mapping your environment will only be stored in your HMD. With regards to your request, I believe the risks outweigh this user experience due to data privacy. User privacy and data security is extremely important to us so I'm not confident your request will get through. Nonetheless, I'll still make a note and update you if I hear back. Here's a Roadtovr article about our Cosmos Camera Privacy: https://www.roadtovr.com/htc-vive-cosmos-camera-privacy/ Thanks, Steve
