  1. I have to chime in on this one. The moment I put the headset on my face and played the first demo, I had a deep concerned feeling this is what the consumers see and feel as well. It is incredibly uncomfortable to wear and the light leak that comes through either side of the headset is pretty bad and breaks immersion no matter what project. Granted we only have a dev-kit at the moment so the consumer version might be better, but couple the light leak with the lens distortion issue and this standalone headset quickly loses its appeal. I'd really like to see Vive release a different foam covering/insert as well as implement a software fix. It is the very least they could do if they expect people to pay $700 for the device. Even then, it seems like a ridiculously high cost for what I have been able to get this device to ouput in regards to quality and fidelity. I don't like to complain, and nor do I like doing it when we are working to help Vive release content for Focus platform. With that said, these glaringly obvious issues should have never left the QA engineers desks.
