I'll throw my hat in the ring as someone with the same issue. I had the TPCast as well, on a completely different PC, and experienced the same problem, which leads to believe that either know one knows why it happens, or it's a problem in SteamVR that either Valve can't fix, or doesn't wish to fix. I can't image they don't have the HTC Vive wireless adapter, or the TPCast, in-house, and haven't experienced this. Edit: BTW, the error code I see in the SteamVR report is always "displaylink: STATUSCODE_24." I've searched online, but nothing so far.
