  1. Kiosk Mode is available in the latest firmware update!
  2. I agree completely. It's over 2 months since I posted this. I've had the Flow out of its case once for 5 minutes. There's been no firmware updates, no new apps. Great form factor, everything else is a big miss. Come one HTC, get this sorted.
  3. Hi - unfortunately the community engagement from the Vive team that is developing the Flow is non-existant. You can certainly attach Bluetooth devices such as headphones, bot sure about input devices. Not sure what you mean regarding pointers and your face? Currently the only controller is via a smartphone, and the Lo Fi environment is pretty basic at the moment.
  4. It seems like the Vive Flow could be a great headset, but is let down by unfinished software. I've found that after the euphoria of receiving the device it has now remained in its case for over a month. The specific use case that was given (relaxation experiences) works well sat up, but is completely useless when lying down as you can't switch between experiences without sitting up. The phone controller setup is cumbersome at best and too fiddly. It usually takes me a number of attempts to locate the correct area on the screen. The software feels unfinished and very basic. Coupled with slow software updates and a complete lack of community engagement (on here), means that (for me at least) this new headset completely misses the mark. I'll probably give it a few more months to see if things improve and then list it on eBay.
  5. It is very annoying. Hand tracking is eventually coming, but I agree having a physical controller would improve the situation.
  6. Nope it doesn't. Looks like Firefox Reality has been updated for the device properly.
  7. As far as I am aware, there is no Kiosk mode on the device currently. Whether it is on the road map, I'm not sure. There doesn't appear to be anyone from the team that manages Flow development on here.
  8. You can sideload apps by connecting the Flow to a PC and using adb "adb install -r /path/to/your-filename.apk" The app will then appear in the Flow library. You'll need to enable USB Debugging first in Settings.
  9. Did you manage to get this working? My Flow updated with no issues, I don't think your phone going out of range would affect the update.
  10. I am no expert on this, but I believe that the Flow uses Wave SDK 4.0 which doesn't support passthrough. I'm assuming this it will receive an update to Wave SDK 4.1 at some point, but there is very little information from the team on future plans for the headset.
  11. @C.T. @Tony PH Lin Anyone able to advise?
  12. Hi @C.T., I'm just wondering what the situation is with Vive Focus plus firmware updates? Can we expect any more updates, or is that it for this headset? Thanks!
  13. @C.T.Selecting that option makes no difference. SteamVR still doesn't launch automatically and if left alone, eventually the compositor crashes out (see screenshot).
  14. Hi @Tony PH Lin - I do use the device quite a lot so if possible I would like to be added to the whitelist. I'll PM you my serial number.
  15. @Tony PH Lin Thanks for confirming. Is there a quick way to return to the previous dev ROM version?
  16. Thanks for getting back to me. Are you saying that there should be no visual changes for an app built on an SDK before version 3.2? Definitely saw some weird effects in the ViveportM launcher after the update. I'll grab a logcat and the version number later on this week.
  17. Yesterday my Focus Plus updated to a new ROM version (4.01.623.320). This appears to have made significant changes to the display, and now I am finding that I immediately start to feel nauseous as the display is not moving to the same degree as my head movements. When moving my head, the image displayed appears to move too much. Everything also "appears" to be much closer than before. I am not sure whether the ROM was due to appear on my HMD or whether or has been pushed out in error. I've submitted a support request for this, but wondering if anyone else had experienced this? @Tony PH Lin
