I'm yet another having this problem.I live in NY and got my Vive at the start of Febuary from amazon as a b-day gift from the wife and it worked fine for the first few months.I starting having issues in May as the ambient tempature began to raise.At first I assumed it was my PC and spent weeks trying to troublesoot it and eventually doing a clean install of windows with only steamVR and nothing worked.Then I found this thread and thought about it the only thing that has changed in my space is the tempature.I have a small AC in my room now and it helps but sometimes its not enough.Just last night I was playing dead effect 2,cool game btw,and 2 hours it started grey screening on me.Set a box fan blowing directly on me on high and problem gone the rest of the session.I guess I could just deal with it as is but for an $800 device I shouldn't have to.
